HONEYBALL - Pick honey like fruit, 2021
We may survive without bees, but we will undoubtedly have fewer and poorer food products, a more vulnerable ecosystem, and fewer plant species and genetic diversity. The presence and number of bees as pollinators in any ecosystem indicates the health of it. However, the number of bees is decreasing for various reasons, besides, about 50% of the bee population has become extinct so far. HONEYBALL has turned the traditional structure of the beehive and the current way of beekeeping into a safe and comfortable space for bees. This is done by preserving its functions and relying on natural elements, forms, and materials. Taking into account all the basic needs of bees, it provides a new way of beekeeping in the form of a Honey Tree Farm.

Product Usability Process

Beehive Structure
Pottery as the main material is easily available and since it passes air, it provides a low temperature inside the hive during summer. A built-in water container allows bees to spend their time producing honey not collecting water. Furthermore, a storage area for bees to feed when natural nectar is not available. The storage area will also be used to prevent and treat bee diseases.
